The community surrounding the Mathews Palmer Playground has a strong presence of community and active residents. The progress of the mural to date and the continued dedication to keeping the efforts of re-creation restoration alive is owed to the mural committee team of Steve Fanto, Chana Widawski, Kathleen Treat and the late Allison Tupper.
Artist Denise Penizzotto
As Project Manager and Lead Muralist for this historic recreation restoration artist Denise Penizzotto has created a neighborhood mural program to support the restoration that includes fundraising activities, maintaining a web presence for the project, liaise with local community, NYC Department of Park and Recreation and the Offices of New York City Council District 3 to build a collaborate community team in support of the project. https://denisepenizzottostudioarts.com/home.html

Golden Paints and Mark Golden
Special thanks goes to Mark Golden and Golden Paints for their generous contribution to our mural recreation restoration goals. Not only have they agreed to supply their superior Golden Paints for the mural (the original paint used by Belkin, Bocour paints, were a product of Goldens in their early history), but they have also matched colors to the original maquette used for the 1972 mural. https://www.goldenpaints.com
